Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors, Tennessee’s sensational alternative rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Newport Music Hall!
Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors was formed in Memphis in 2005 and consists of Drew (lead vocals, guitar, and harmonica), his wife Ellie Holcomb (vocals, guitars), Nathan Dugger (guitar, keys), and Rich Brinsfield (bass). While their musical style can be broadly classified as alternative rock, it’s best described as a blend of Americana (contemporary music that incorporates elements of various American roots music styles, including country, roots rock, folk, bluegrass, R&B and blues, resulting in a distinctive roots oriented sound) and folk rock (a style that arose in the United States and the United Kingdom around the mid 1960s, pioneered by the Los Angeles band the Byrds, who began playing traditional folk music and songs by Bob Dylan with rock instrumentation, in a style heavily influenced by the Beatles and other British bands). They released their debut album (Passenger Seat) in 2008 and it hit #3 on iTunes Sin Singer/Songwriter chart. They’ve had a stellar career with 9 studio albums, 6 music videos, and they’ve sold over 100,000 records. They’ve also been the supporting act for many renowned bands and artists such as Susan Tedeschi, Ryan Adams, Los Lobos, The Avett Brothers, Robert Earl Keen, Needtobreathe, and Marc Broussard.
Don’t miss your chance to see these artists add a unique touch to Americana and folk rock music!
